Writing
I write about political trends, popular culture and representation in the media. Here's the bit where I age myself: In 2005, I covered the lack of representation in a ‘new’ trend called ‘the blogosphere’ for “The Amsterdam News”. It was called “Bloggers of color underrepresented by mainstream media” <link: https://afronetizen.blogs.com/afronetizen/2005/05/bloggers_of_col.html> and featured bloggers who created ‘go to’ blogs and information brands for people of color. I’ve reported on entertainment, representation in the media and politics since. My passion for these issues stem from the fact that I really believe in the power of the media; from what it reveals about our society, to its potential to give everybody a voice.
